A big thank-you and congratulations to the PWA, to the Fete organiser, Pam Wilson, and to the many additional helpers who contributed to this year’s Fete. Also, thanks to the Lord for giving us favourable weather and the net result of roughly $11,174.08 after all expenses (some money is still coming in). This money is a contribution to our church life and ministry.
On 29th November our two services will join together as one congregation in the church hall. On this special day, our joint service begins at 10 am. The service includes a children’s story after which children are dismissed to Sunday School.
This is also the first of four Sundays that comprise the Advent season. The word Advent means ‘coming’ or ‘visitation.’ It refers to the coming of the Lord, the great visitation of God. Our Scripture readings will focus on the First and Second coming of the Lord, in particular, on the importance of being ready for the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. So we focus on hope in God’s promise and turning to him.
Please consult the calendar for important Christmas and New Year dates.
Grace and peace!
