Please join us in one of our friendly & informative events. Some of our past activities have been a talk by Professor Louise Baur on childhood nutrition, a presentation by Naomi Reed about the Christian perspective on dealing with worry, a birthing kit assembly day for women in Uganda and social activities such as a walk around Lake Parramatta.
A new command I give you; love one another (John 13:34a)
Our mission statement:
* To encourage women of our church in their Christian faith and to provide fellowship and support to each other.
* To welcome women in our local community to join us in activities and events which build friendships and promote understanding of topical issues from a Christian perspective.
Join us and thousands of women at EQUIP – a Christian Women’s Conference held each year in Sydney.
EQUIP daylight (10am – 3pm). Pre-conference refreshments from 9am. AUSLAN interpretation available.
EQUIP twilight (4pm – 8pm). Refreshments provided between sessions one and two. Runs concurrent with EQUIP teens.
The Equip Daylight and Equip Twilight conferences are made up of identical sessions, just at different times. EQUIP daylight includes pre-conference refreshments and an extended lunch break: plenty of time to catch up with friends! EQUIP twilight packs the same sessions into an express time-frame. There will be a brief refreshment break between the sessions. Head straight home afterwards or stay on for dinner in the city to make a night of it. Choose the options that best suits you!
It doesn’t matter whether you’ve been a Christian for ages, or just checking it out. So bring your mum, daughter, friends, colleagues or whole Bible Study group for the best day out of the year.
EQUIP 16 will be held at the International Convention Centre (ICC), which is Australia’s premier conference, exhibition and event precinct. Situated right on Darling Harbour, it’s a lovely location with excellent public transport and parking options.
If driving, we recommend you book parking in advance as Darling Harbour will be busy with visitors to the Sydney Vivid festival.
For more information see EQUIP 17.
Some of our past events are shown below.
On Saturday 4 March from 2:00PM to 4:30PM, we joined together to assemble 600 birthing kits for women in Uganda where many women and newborn babies die after childbirth because of the lack of basic clean materials being available during delivery.
Yumi Oba and Melanie Trethowan shared deeply moving stories on motherhood and faith.
Warm fellowship and conversation were enjoyed over afternoon tea afterwards.
On Saturday 4 March from 2:00PM to 4:30PM, please join us in assembling birthing kits for women in Uganda where many women and newborn babies die after childbirth because of the lack of basic clean materials being available during delivery.
The birthing kits can be provided for as little as $3 each and are comprised of simple items such as soap, gloves, scalpel, string and a sheet of plastic. All materials will be provided by Vision Sisters (World Vision).
Please donate for this cause at Vision Sisters. Your donation will go toward the purchase of materials for the birthing kit assembly.
Yumi Oba and Melanie Trethowan will speak about motherhood and faith.
Afternoon tea will be provided.
