Offering Envelopes: offering envelops for the next financial year are now available for pick up at the back of the Church.
Working Bee: there will be a working bee on Saturday 29th July. As part of this we will be getting rid of a lot of stuff we are not using. If you want goods protected, please speak with Gail Harrison or Lewis Burrough.
Rice & Oil Drive: Jericho Road, which is Presbyterian Social Services, is collecting 2kg bags of Basmati Rice and 1L to 4L containers of cooking oil for distribution through the Sydney Refugee Team. Session has decided that we should participate during the month of July. Accordingly there will be some boxes on the stage in the hall on Sundays throughout July to receive any gifts that you would like to make of these products. Connect Men: is encouraging all men to attend BASECAMP: Sydney this year. BASECAMP: Sydney will take place at the Sydney Showground at Sydney Olympic Park on Saturday 12 August. It will be a great day of excellent Bible talks, including a segment with Chris Gillan and Charles Minto. Come along and support them as they talk to 1500 men. The theme for BASECAMP is “Foolproof: Practical Wisdom from Proverbs.” We have got a special price of $80, so get in quickly. If you are a student the price is $40. For those who have not yet paid, please pay Charles Minto today as he can only get these cheaper tickets by phone. Some of us will be going to dinner afterwards, so please stay on for that if you can. If you wish to come, please advise Charles Minto as soon as possible.
Connect Women Event: Tea Party – Showing God’s Love through Hospitality. Ladies, please save the date for Saturday 2, September 2017. You are invited to join us to hear our speaker, Lucy Ying, talk on the topic of Christians providing hospitality. Come to be encouraged and challenged about the “why” we should show hospitality and also learn about the “how” to show hospitality to each other. Linda Billingham will also be talking about tea blending and offer a tea-tasting of several of her unique tea blends. These will be served with afternoon tea.
