Follow Up On Pastoral Care Seminar: Those of you who attended Jill McGilvray’s Pastoral Care Seminar a few months ago will remember how valuable it was. We are following up it on Sunday, July 2, from 2 to 4 pm. We will review her points and engage in some exercises to help us put them into action. Everyone who attended is very much encouraged to come to this follow up Pastoral Care seminar. And if you missed it, you are also invited to come and join in the learning. See Andy Williamson or Margaret Robertson for more information.
Rice & Oil Drive: Jericho Road, which is Presbyterian Social Services, is collecting 2kg bags of Basmati Rice and 1L to 4L containers of cooking oil for distribution through the Sydney Refugee Team. Session has decided that we should participate during the month of July. Accordingly there will be some boxes on the stage in the hall on Sundays throughout July to receive any gifts that you would like to make of these products. Please contact Rod Best if you have any questions.
PWA: Members are reminded that our next meeting will be held on Tuesday, 11th July, at 10.00 a.m. after we have enjoyed fellowship and a cup of tea at 9.30 a.m. Please note the change of date from the first Tuesday of the month (4th July) to the second Tuesday. The change has been made because the P.W.A. Annual Conference is to be held during the week commencing 3rd July at P.L.C. Croydon. We encourage our members to attend this important event in the P.W.A. Calendar. We look forward to seeing you at the meeting – any ladies who would like to join us will be most welcome.

Beecroft Nursing Home: Help Needed: A lot more male residents are being admitted to aged care facilities than ever before and Beecroft Nursing Home would like to have a monthly men’s group for which they require male volunteers. These volunteers require a police check conducted which the Nursing Home is happy to reimburse. Volunteers would be involved in having discussion groups, playing cards, reading news papers, having morning or afternoon tea with a small group of men or even an individual male resident. If interested please contact the Director of Nursing Prita Rajanand.
Ministry at Beecroft Nursing Home: Since the early nineties a group from Epping Presbyterian Church have conducted a 30 minute church service at Beecroft Nursing Home at 2:00pm on the 4th Wednesday of each month except January and December. The people responsible are moving away from the area and are looking for people who may be interested in taking over this ministry. Please phone Pam Charlesworth if you are interested.
