Financial Results for the 2 months ended 29th February, 2016: The financial result for the 2 months ended February was a profit of $5,476 compared to a budget profit of $195 – a favourable variance of $5,281. This favourable result was only achieved by the receipt of the $8,500 grant from the NSW Community Services for a Project which was applied for by the Rev. Craig Nicholas in October, 2014 and on the 23rd of that month he was notified from Greg Smith’s office that the Church had been allocated a grant of $8,500 for the hall upgrade in 2014. Ten letters/ emails later, I received confirmation on 18th December, 2015 that money would be transferred into the Church. The money was finally deposited on 16th January, 2016. The actual financial situation would have been a loss of $3,219 due to offerings for the two months being $4,415 below budget. Starting from this month, I shall be presenting an update monthly on the financial result for the Church. Pat Watts, Church Treasurer.
