Operation Christmas Child: Thank you to everyone who filled a box or gave a donation to Operation Christmas Child. At present over 95,000 boxes have been sent from NSW with more to go in the next two weeks. These children will now have the once in a lifetime joy of opening a special gift just for them. Many thanks – Ellen McAlister.

If any members of the Congregation would like to join us for the Carols and lunch, please let Joan Elliott or Janet Stuart know for catering purposes.

Hall Roof Fund: Balance of the $150,000 loan from the Glenburn TIF Capital Account as at 11th November, 2016 amounts to $96,337.50. The draw-down of $150,000 from Glenburn to fund the project was approved at a special Congregational Meeting held on Monday 9th March, 2015. Repayments of the loan were to commence when the new roof was completed at $15,000 per year for 10 years. The project was completed in July, 2015 and the first loan repayment of $5,000 was paid on 15th August, 2015. The original budget approval of repayment was $15,000 per year for 10 years or $1,250 per month. Over the last 15 months (1.25 years) the debt has been reduced by $53,662.50 = the equivalent of 3.58 years or 2.33 years ahead of budget. Appreciation is extended to members of the Congregation who have continued to support the Hall Roof Fund. Pat Watts, Church Treasurer
Church Membership and Baptism Classes in early 2017: If you have not yet become a church member, and you wish to become a member, or wish to find out what it is all about, you are welcome to attend our church membership class in four sessions, early in 2017. If you want to be baptised, or have a child of any age baptised, then you are welcome to this same class. Please let me, the minister, know, or contact our church secretary to say you are interested. Once we know everyone who wants to be in the class, we will work out a convenient time to meet in 2017. I look forward to hearing from you. Andrew Williamson
