Colin and Rosalie Llewellyn have been in charge of the Sunday School since 2007. Both Colin and Rosalie have had extensive experience in Children’s and Youth work (Rosalie is an early childhood educator). Colin is also an Elder at BPC. The Sunday School at Beecroft Presbyterian Church are taught and cared for by 30 dedicated staff on the teaching roster.
We have six classes in Sunday School that all run in conjunction with the 10:30 AM service. All Sunday School classes are taught by members of the congregation.
There is a video relay of the service which allows very young children to be themselves and for Mum or Dad to watch the service from a room in our Church Hall.
The curriculum used for preschool crèche is a series called “Beginning with God – Exploring the Bible with your child” which teaches stories from the Old and New Testament in an appropriate manner for pre- school children.
Years K to 1
The curriculum used for K to 1 is a series called “Beginning with God” from Connect which is produced by CEP and is a 40 week curriculum written specifically for children aged 5 and 6 yrs.
Years 2 to 4
All children from Year 2 to 6 use the Curriculum “Kids@Church” which is produced by Christian Education Publication (CEP).
Years 5 to 6
All children from Year 2 to 6 use the Over the Top Curriculum from “Kids@Church” which is produced by Christian Education Publication (CEP).
Years 7 to 8
The curriculum used for SMOG (Sunday Morning older Group) is a series called “The Discipleship Training Series” from Tim Hawkins.
We would ask that you would pray for our children, that they would each come into a personal relationship with Jesus. Also, remember to thank God for the wonderful teachers and pray that their enthusiasm and love for our children would continue.
All of our volunteers and paid employees who work with children and young people or who are in a position of leadership have completed a Working with Children Check and meet all the Breaking the Silence requirements.
